About me

Where it all began and how I got here

Helping you feel confident you’ve found the right partner.

Deciding to invest in change management support is a big decision

for any business. To assist you, here are a few relevant things about me and The Spiral Hub to help you feel confident you’ve found the right partner.

My experience

A proven leader with over 20 years’ consulting (Big 4) and operations experience, I’m passionate about working with businesses to implement change; and deliver results.

My diverse background (across both public and private sectors, within the UK and overseas) has enabled me to gain invaluable knowledge and skills – not only in change management but also in culture and leadership, two essential components needed for change to be successful.

Working at PwC taught me that short-term interventions from change management consultants rarely lead to change being sustained within a business over the long term.

But, it wasn’t until I joined the NHS, as a Board director at a hospital trust (where I had responsibility for leading the organisation-wide change programme), that I developed the framework that underpins The Spiral Hub programme.

Drawing on all my years’ of change management experience and using my new framework, we achieved – and sustained – more change in the two years I was in my post than the organisation had achieved in the previous five.

I knew I had found a different way of working with businesses to implement change.

Through Covid I began teaching and coaching online. I was amazed at the results.

It confirmed what I already knew. People can change themselves, but they need support from others to make it happen. Combining teaching with coaching increases the skillsets and capabilities needed in parallel, providing a ‘safe’ environment to stretch out of comfort zones and successfully implement change.

Bringing all this together I developed The Spiral Hub Programme; with the sole purpose of providing an affordable change management solution for small and medium sized businesses (SMEs).

Why?

Because business in the 21st century is not just about making a profit, it’s also about putting people and planet at the heart of a clearly articulated business purpose.

And for most businesses this is going to require change.
